North America Alumni Meet - May 3rd, 2025 Dallas, TX 

The 2nd North America alumni meet was recently commenced with great galore on May 3rd 2025, in Dallas, Texas of USA.

The prestigious alumni from all over the continent took long road trips and flights along with their families, braving bad weather, flight cancellations and other last minute detours to witness and participate in this gala event.

The 15+ hour formal event was graced at Hilton Garden Inn, Lewisville, TX which was also the event stay for majority of the attendees creating an atmosphere like none in the past.

The event kickstarted Indian way with lighting of lamp followed by alumni introductions. The senior most alumni were honored. Delicious food, fun filled games and different cultural performances exhilarated the whole audience throughout the day. Two special programs - Career connect and Start up connect also gathered huge attendance benefiting various alumni. Families & kids were also kept entertained with the 360 degree reel, face painting, photo booths, caricature making, mehendi artist, tarot card reading, etc. The professional Bollywood band got everyone on toes while they sung everyone’s favorite Indian medleys. Later DJ and dhol got entire crowd on dance floor reincarnating the GEC-NIT Raipur fest memories. Everyone came home with countless sweet memories and alumni designed special souvenirs. The entire event was broadcasted live on youtube for NIT alumni residing worldwide.

The remarkable enthusiasm and spirit of college days broke all the barriers of age and rank making the participating alumni from 7 decades act like re-living the college phase of life for a day again, ultimately creating a global GEC-NIT family in North America.
