In April 2024, an alumni meet was held that included family members, during which the then-honorable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Ramesh Bais, attended and encouraged this distinguished group to spearhead the establishment of facilities for individuals coming from Chhattisgarh for interviews, studies, and employment. Our alumni based in Mumbai took this initiative seriously and began the groundwork with the assistance of many others to prepare a budget proposal and engage in discussions within the cabinets, leading to the announcement of Chhattisgarh Bhawan at Sector 30 Vashi, Navi Mumbai, at a cost of Rs 120 Crore. There is still a long journey ahead.
